- I'll start right out by saying that my questions pretain more to the modem
- than to MacPPP.
-
- I'm wondering if I should set the &R register to R1 or R2. Because of the
- Mac high speed cable ignoring the
- DTR, it seems that I should be setting the R register to ignore the RTS.
- ??? Default is &R1. In conjunction with this issue, then my freeppp
- control panel should be set to both cts & dtr or just cts?
-
- My DIP (how appropriate) switches are set to: 1. on, 2. off, 3. on, 4.
- on, 5. on, 6. off, 7. off, 8. on. Are these appropriate for PPP
- connections?
-
- I ask these questions because I'm getting some annoying hangups on the
- other end that my computer doesn't know about and sometimes causes system
- freezes when I try to quit so I'm trying to clean up the connection
- between my modem and computer.
-
- TIA,
-
- Doug
