  11. I'll start right out by saying that my questions pretain more to the modem
  12. than to MacPPP.

  14. I'm wondering if I should set the &R register to R1 or R2. Because of the
  15. Mac high speed cable ignoring the 
  16. DTR, it seems that I should be setting the R register to ignore the RTS.
  17. ??? Default is &R1. In conjunction with this issue, then my freeppp
  18. control panel should be set to both cts & dtr or just cts? 
  19.  
  20. My DIP (how appropriate) switches are set to: 1. on,  2. off,  3. on,  4.
  21. on,  5. on,  6. off,  7. off,  8. on.   Are these appropriate for PPP
  22. connections?

  24. I ask these questions because I'm getting some annoying hangups on the
  25. other end that my computer doesn't know about and sometimes causes system
  26. freezes when I try to quit so I'm trying to clean up the connection
  27. between my modem and computer.
